Tea Break

“Let’s stop for a tea break in 20 minutes.”

…What does that mean?! What’s a tea break?

A tea break is a short rest during the working day, people stop to have a drink and maybe a snack. You don’t have to drink tea! Tea and coffee are commonly drunk, but you can use this expression regardless of your choice of beverage. 😉

Examples

  • “We had a chat on our tea break” ☕
  • “You take too many tea breaks! You need to get some work done.” ☕
  • “Let’s have a tea break, I’m exhausted” ☕

Your turn!

When do you like to take a tea break?
